Answer
Can AI write a change order from the field?
Claude, an AI assistant like ChatGPT, can write a change order from the field. Someone on site flags the extra work, and minutes later a priced change order is ready for the client to sign. You can talk the notes in with the free dictation already on your phone. The draft waits for your approval, because it commits money and scope. You check the price and the scope, then send it.

How to do it
- Flag the extra work from the site. You can talk your notes in instead of typing them.
- The notes go to your AI, which drafts a priced change order.
- The draft waits for your approval. Check the price and the scope.
- Send it to the client to sign.
- Do the same with questions from the site. A job site photo and a voice note become a clean request for information in about 90 seconds.
