Answer
Is it safe to put my company's data into ChatGPT or Claude?
Putting company data into ChatGPT or Claude can be safe if you control what goes in. Use an account your company owns, so you stay in control of your data. Black out account numbers, and never paste passwords or bank details. Keep patient records out unless you know your rules allow it. Connect Gmail or Outlook read-only first. Every prompt in my free email guide says "do not send," so nothing goes out until you say send.

How to do it
- Write one page on what your team may share with AI.
- Use an account your company owns. That keeps you in control of your data.
- Black out account numbers, and never paste passwords or bank details into the chat.
- Keep anything under privacy rules, like patient records, out until you know your rules allow it.
- Connect your email, calendar and files read-only at first.
- Keep one rule: nothing goes out until you say send.
