Answer
How do I track and show the hours AI saves me at work?
To track the hours AI saves you, log each task as you do it: the time by hand, and the time it actually took. Start with a baseline from my free worksheet: minutes per run and runs per week. My own log, March 12 to July 30, 2026, came to 1,042 estimated hours of hand work saved. That's about 52 hours a week across 94 tasks.

How to do it
- Before you start, measure the baseline: minutes per run, runs per week, people involved, rework rate, and time from first input to usable result.
- Log each task as the work happens, with an estimate of the time by hand and the time it actually took.
- Use the same yardstick for every entry: the time the task would take a person by hand.
- Say which entries are estimates. My early entries were estimated from my records. Later ones were logged as the work happened.
- Report a dated window. The weekly figure is the total divided by the weeks in that window, and it describes that window only.
